Ongoing Old Forge Social Service Outreach & Health Insurance Sign-up - 10AM-2PM at the Town Offices. Need Health Insurance or Social Service assistance? Certified NYS Navigators are available to help you enroll through the NY State Health Marketplace the last Thursday of each month in the Town of Webb Board Room at the Visitor Information Center in Old Forge. They will also be available to help with Temporary Assistance, SNAP Benefits, Medicaid, Home Energy Assistance (HEAP) and Child Support and Day Care Services referral. Ongoing Morning Yoga - Yoga is now offered as a 10 session punch card. You can go to whichever 10 sessions you choose to attend. You can now also go online and sign up. Yoga has been shown to increase muscle strength, maintain bone integrity, and improve balance, coordination, and mobility. These gentle, therapeutic classes are open to anybody and any age. No Restriction needed. Yoga classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 am, and evening classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday starting at 5:30 pm. Fridays in July Old Forge Farmer's Market - 1pm - 5pm every Friday through October 8th. We have vendors from surrounding areas who bring produce, baked goods, cheese, wine, craft beer, meats and herbal products. We have a beautiful spot behind the famous Old Forge Hardware store. No matter where you are in town you can walk on down to the market to purchase your farm fresh produce and baked goods.

Sun & Mon July 4 & 5 Forge Festival of Arts & Crafts - 9am - 5pm. View announces the return of the annual Forge Festival of Arts and Crafts, which hosts skilled vendors and features an extensive assortment of food and hand crafted items. This year’s 2-day event, which is Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is sponsored by Adirondack Bank. The festival will be located at Adirondack Bank’s parking lot at 108 Codling Street, which is right across from the Old Forge Public Beach.Proceeds will benefit View. Tues July 6 Moss Lake Tour - 9am at the Moss Lake Trailhead. The group will leave the trailhead with Geof Longstaff as tour guide. Thurs July 8 Author Visit: Anne Phinney with the Moose River Farm Llamas - 4pm at the Old Forge Library. Local Author and retired teacher, Anne Phinney, will read from her newest book, “They Teach Without Words: Animals of the Moose River Farm”. Her memoir chronicles the connections made between an elementary school teacher's classroom and her cherished menagerie. Anne will bring her llamas along for a visit with attendees.

Sun July 11 Adirondack Community Chorus: To Everything There is a Season - 4pm at VIEW. The Adirondack Community Chorus will sing songs which reflect the changes and developments in pop music from the end of WWII in 1945 to the Kennedy assassination in 1963. A narrative will connect these song. The last song, "American Pie" will be sung by Michael Ferris which also summarizes that era in pop music.Donations will be accepted for this performance

Fri July 23 Triskele - 7:30pm the VIEW.. Triskele, [pronounced Tris-Kay-lee] is an all~female Celtic band known for their stunning harmonies, singing the Gaelic language, and for their Irish wit. These ladies perform traditional, original and some modern Celtic/Irish music. Triskele instrumentation includes, 12-string and 6-string guitar, mandolin, Bodhran, flute, whistles, and various percussion instruments. General Admission is $30/$20 members. Sat & Sun July 24 & 25 46th Annual Antique Show - The 46th Annual Old Forge Antiques and Vintage Show and Sale returns to the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street. This year's show will feature dealers with an array of goods including antique and vintage furniture, camp decor, oriental rugs, jewelry, hotel china, books, fine art, sporting goods, coins and taxidermy. Despite almost trashing it, she’s now convinced it’s a lost masterpiece by Jackson Pollock worth millions. But when world-class art expert Lionel Percy flies over from New York and arrives at her trailer home in Bakersfield to authenticate the painting, he has no idea what he is about to discover. Fri July 30 Ice Cream Social - 11am - 3pm at Point Park. Enjoy your favorite ice cream in a handmade bowl at Point Park, right in the center of Old Forge across from the Old Forge Hardware Store. Eat ice cream and keep your very own hand-made bowl created by local and regional potters. Be sure to arrive early! We have a wide variety of bowls and other ceramic pieces to choose from with plenty of ice cream and toppings at the ready. Pottery ranges from $10 to $25 which includes ice cream! If you choose not to purchase pottery and you can enjoy an ice cream sundae for $5.This annual event benefits the View and has become a favorite destination for an afternoon ice cream treat with friends and family!Everyone is required to wear a mask at all times - Practice Social Distancing - six feet distance between all individuals.

Led by Doug Davis, participants will learn about the wonderful healing benefits of quietly being and connecting with trees and Mother Earth. Doug relocated to the area from Ohio - he always knew he’d eventually live in the Adirondacks and was drawn here, in part, because of the abundance of nature and trees!

Fri Sept 10 - Sun Sept 12 90 Miler Adirondack Canoe Classic - The Adirondack Canoe Classic — known as the 90-Miler — is an Adirondack tradition dating back over three decades. The annual event, which takes place over three days in September, takes paddlers from Old Forge, NY, to Saranac Lake, NY, the first 90 miles of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. Online registration will be open July 1-15. We encourage you to add your contact info to our 90-Miler mailing list by sending us a message to adirondack90miler@northernforestcanoetrail.org. If you’re unable to register online, send your name and address to us, and we’ll mail a paper registration form to you. Please note that neither method of registration increases your likelihood of getting a spot in the event.
