Thurs Nov 21 Free Draw Night! Themed Drawing and Dinner Too! - 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Old Forge Library. Join local artists Ron Rakowski, Diane Davis and Jim Tracy for lighthearted and informal evenings of drawing. There will be prompts to spark your creativity. Dinner and basic drawing supplies will be provided. Feel free to bring any drawing materials you may prefer. Please sign up ahead of time to reserve a dinner! Fri - Sun Nov 29 - Dec 1 Adirondack Christmas on Main Street - Area clubs, civic group and businesses have planned an unforgettable family experience. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in town and families will be treated to old fashioned horse-drawn wagon rides, tree lighting, a light parade, face painting, Zoo Mobile, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Candy Cane Hunt, Reindeer Fun Run and more! All free of charge! Additional venues are also available for your enjoyment. Including the Santa Express Train, holiday arts and crafts at View and Ace Hardware. Keep your antlers on from the Reindeer Run, the fun doesn't stop there -- wear your antlers into the special holiday 2pm matinee at the Strand Theater and receive a free small popcorn and 1/2 price matinee.


Fri & Sat Nov 29 & 30 Christmas on Main Street at the Library - Adult and children’s coloring stations, crafts, Legos and refreshments make the library a fun (and warm) stop for families during this festive holiday weekend! For additional information please call 315-369-6011

Fri - Sun Dec 13 - 15 Snodeo - The Annual SNODEO is the “kick-off” weekend for the 2019/2020 snowmobile season. With all four major manufacturers present with new models on display, a Vintage Snowmobile Show and Swap, Youth Snowmobile Races and an awesome Snowmobile Raffle, there is something for everyone!

Sat Dec 14 AmSnow Dynotech Research New York Shootout - Gates open at 8 a.m. The shootout starts at 11 a.m. - snow or no snow! The spectator fee is $10. Trail riders can run 660 feet for $10. Starting at 10 a.m. spectators can watch the weighing of the OEM sleds and have a chance to check out the sleds up close. This event will host the four snowmobile manufacturers: Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo, Yamaha, and Polaris, as well as shop-modified runs. We put the newest stock snowmobiles on the radar gun for the first time to see which one can claim bragging rights as the 2019-2020 snowmobile season gets underway. But that's not all! You'll also witness some of North America's top performance shops showcasing their products down Chip & Cindy Sauer's quarter-mile track behind The Ole Barn restaurant. Sat Dec 14 Youth Snowmobile Safety Course - Inlet NY. Registration will open on Monday, November 25th. Pre-registration is required and calls will not be accepted before the specified dates for each course. Register by calling instructor Ernie Gilbert at 315-369-3695.
